Vibration Control of Flexible Structure Recent progress in piezoelectric materials for distributed actuators and sensors has triggered a considerable interest in smart structures. In general, the smart structures featuring surface-bonded or embedded piezoelectric actuators and/or sensors are primarily applied to vibration and position control.
